Connect Google Business Profile to Reply Champion

Connect the same Google account that owns or manages your verified Business Profile, choose the location you want Reply Champion to manage, and confirm reply settings before replies are created.

Before You Start

  • A Google account that can access the business location in Google Business Profile.
  • A verified Business Profile. Google requires verification before a business can reply to reviews.
  • Permission to grant Business Profile access during the Google consent step.

Steps

  1. 1Sign in to Reply Champion with the Google account you want associated with the workspace.
  2. 2Choose Connect Google Business Profile when prompted in onboarding.
  3. 3Review the Google consent screen and approve Business Profile access.
  4. 4Select the business location you want to connect.
  5. 5Confirm reply language, sensitive-review guardrails, and rating automation settings.
  6. 6Review the synced unanswered reviews and start approving, editing, or sending replies.

What Reply Champion Connects To

Reply Champion connects to Google Business Profile so the product can find your locations, read review data, draft replies from real review text, and help publish approved replies. The setup is separate from normal sign-in because managers should be able to sign in before they decide to grant Business Profile access.

What Happens After You Select a Location

After you select a location, Reply Champion stores the connected business, attempts to save the direct Google review link, checks recent unanswered reviews, and prepares the review workflow. During onboarding, the product uses a bounded preview sync for recent unanswered reviews so you can see the workload without starting with an overwhelming backlog.

  • The direct Google review link is saved when Google provides it for the location.
  • Reply language is inferred when possible, then you confirm it before replies are created.
  • Sensitive categories such as healthcare or legal can use stricter approval guardrails.

If Your Location Does Not Appear

The most common cause is that the signed-in Google account does not own or manage the verified profile. Try reconnecting with the account that has Business Profile access. If you do not have a verified profile yet, create and verify it in Google Business Profile first, then return to Reply Champion.

  • Use the same Google account that can see the profile in Google Business Profile.
  • Check that the location is verified and reviews are available for that country, region, and category.
  • If your account is controlled by Google Workspace, make sure Business Profile access is enabled for that account.

Do I need a verified Google Business Profile?
Yes. Google says a business must be verified before it can reply to reviews. Reply Champion is built around that verified Business Profile workflow.
Can I connect more than one location?
Yes, if your plan supports additional locations and your Google account has access to those profiles. Reply Champion filters out locations that are already connected to avoid duplicates.
Does Reply Champion post replies immediately after connection?
No. During setup, you confirm reply settings before replies are created. Reply Champion supports approval and auto-post controls, but sensitive reviews should stay in approval.
