Why Business Profile Access Is Separate From Sign-In
A normal Google sign-in only verifies identity. It does not give Reply Champion permission to manage review workflows. Reply Champion asks for Business Profile access later, during connection, so the user can make a clear decision before authorizing review and location access.
What the Permission Supports
The Business Profile permission supports the core Google review workflow inside Reply Champion. Google Business Profile APIs allow approved applications to list locations, retrieve review details, reply to reviews, and delete review replies. Reply Champion uses that access to operate the review response workflow for connected businesses.
- List business locations the signed-in Google account can access.
- Retrieve review text, rating, reviewer display data, and response status.
- Post approved replies or auto-posted replies according to your settings.
- Save the Google review request link when it is available from the connected location.
- Keep location-level review data current for reporting and Review Intelligence.
What Reply Champion Is Not Trying To Manage
Reply Champion is focused on the review workflow. It is not positioned as a listings-management suite, scheduler, CRM, survey platform, POS system, or full Google Business Profile editing console. Keep using Google Business Profile for profile ownership, verification, business hours, categories, services, photos, and other listing details.
When To Reconnect
Reconnect if Google says access is expired, the token is invalid, locations no longer load, or the wrong Google account was used. If your profile is managed by a different owner account, ask that owner or manager to connect with the correct account.
